Hi everyone!
We're excited to share some recent improvements we released!
New
New Dashboards Experience
We’ve recently upgraded our Analytics Dashboards to enhance usability and provide a more seamless experience for Labs and their clients! Here's what's new:
  • Data Explorer Access:
    The
    Data Explorer
tables are now conveniently located within the new Sample Review table (currently in beta and available to all LIMS labs).
  • Improved Usability:
The new dashboards are designed with ease of use in mind. You’ll find it much simpler to filter, search, and explore your data.
  • Night Mode and Mobile Compatibility:
Enjoy a responsive experience with full compatibility on mobile devices and a night mode option for better accessibility—features previously unavailable in the old dashboards.
More updates are on the way to make data analysis even faster and more intuitive, so stay tuned! If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to us at support@confidentlims.com.
Improved
  • Added ANSI encoding support
    for the the Importers Module.
  • The new Results table (beta) will load faster
as a result of some performance improvements we added in this release.
  • Client labels now support Safety Status for all assays
    that are pass/fail.
  • New format for Foreign Matter API submissions:
For Labs using third-party LIMS, Foreign Matter values should now be submitted as a percentage rather than using a 100 divisor format. For example, if you need to report 1%, you should now send a value of 1 from your LIMS.
Fixed:
  • We fixed a bug that prevented editing the nickname of a license.
Have a great day! 🎉

Here's a quick roundup of improvements & fixes!
Improved:
  • For Labs & Clients, you can now filter the Samples List by three different date types,
    Date Published
    ,
    Date Received
    , and
    Date Completed
    , on the Samples List.
Screenshot 2024-10-02 at 10
Date Published
is the day the sample is delivered to the client when the lab hits "Publish" in the Confident system.
Date Received
is when the day the lab selected "Verify" on an order, marking the samples associated as officially received by the lab.
Date Completed
is when the order that the sample is associated with is in the Complete status.
  • Refreshed the License modal to fit with our UI! In this refresh, we also improved some navigation elements to make it quicker to choose your relevant license and place orders a bit faster.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug on date filters that would show no results when you wanted to only filter by 1 day.
  • The above bug was affecting what data would appear in Export files. This has also been resolved.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing users from exporting COAs from the Orders Table.
Have a great day! 🎉
We are so excited to announce our
new and improved Importers Module
!
Your lab can now upload one or multiple data files directly into the module, and the data will automatically apply to all relevant samples, reducing the time it takes to import to under a few clicks.
This feature is available to our
Pro + Premium LIMS Labs
.

Hello! We are thrilled to introduce some exciting new features & upgrades in today's release. Our new release brings three key features to labs: Multi COA Generation, Custom Assay Statuses, & Quickbooks Online Integration.
Multi COA Generation (All
LIMS & Network
Labs)
You asked, we delivered! Our most requested feature, now available for all LIMS Labs!

  • Direct Generation from Samples Table
: Generate COAs directly from the samples table, eliminating unnecessary steps.
  • Bulk Generation
: Create COAs for multiple samples simultaneously, saving time and streamlining your process.
  • Comprehensive Order Coverage
: Generate COAs for all samples within an order, or across multiple orders, via the Orders table, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.
  • Status Visibility
: Keep track of generation statuses, providing clarity in scenarios where system processing times exceed expectations.
Custom Assay Status (Pro & Premium LIMS Labs)
You can now customize Assay Statuses within the application to better fit your workflow!
Quickbooks Integration (Pro & Premium Labs)
Labs can now connect their Confident and QuickBooks Online accounts so that draft invoices are automatically created in QuickBooks Online based on invoices in Confident.
This new integration supports line items appearing on the draft invoice in QBO, such as pickup fees, discounts, and any other lab adjustment that our previous integration through Zapier did not.
Note that with the release of this new native integration, we will no longer support requests for the Confident <> Zapier <> QBO workflow.

Hello! Here's a summary of what we released today:
New
Updated formulas for how weight value is displayed on COA Reports:
We released an update to how we display weight values on reports based on the primary display units the lab selects prior to COA generation.
Note: this change only affects laboratories that have a section below their Cannabinoids table that includes 1 [unit]=[unit_description], [unit_weight].
image (1)
The Updated Formulas: image (17)
  1. If you select mg/unit, the unit weight will be displayed on the COA.
  2. If you select mg/serving, the serving weight will be displayed on the COA using the following formula:
serving weight = unit weight * units/serving
  1. If you select mg/container, the container weight will be displayed on the COA using the following formula:
container weight = unit weight * servings/container * units/serving
For API Labs:
This will be sent using the report_units field for our labs utilizing the API to send data from a 3rd party.
Filter the Samples List & Overview Tables by Multiple Samples
Lab users can copy and paste a list into the
Sample
filter to filter the Samples List or Overview Tables to the specified set. Users can continue to also filter the table down by multiple orders as well.
Improved:
  • Multiple areas in our application were updated to match our new branding colors and UI (most notably, the Order Intake Form!) Untitled
  • For Labs who use custom-branded log-in pages, we've made an update to make the text more readable.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing Clients from printing Bag Batch Labels from the Orders Page.
  • Fix a bug where copy & pasting a list of Order IDs in the Order Filter on the Samples Table was not working consistently.
  • Fixed a bug for the New Organization creation flow that was preventing account creation for organizations that don’t have a relevant license to input.

Mid-June Release Notes

Hi! Here’s what’s new & improved from our most recent releases!
New
Regulator IDs on Lab Labels
Labs can now include Sample Regulator IDs on Lab Labels.
Screenshot 2024-05-21 at 12
Address Support for Federal and International Operators
We now allow Labs to create Clients with any address in the U.S. or Canada. Labs can also receive and/or place orders for these Clients. This is intended to support our Labs who operate testing on a federal or international level. Always consult your region’s regulations prior to using Confident’s application for receiving and managing your client’s orders.
Improved
  • The previously named “Batch ID” Column & Filter is now named “External Batch ID” to match the term used on the Sample Intake Form for clarity.
Untitled
  • Labs can now view notes about a Client within the Sample LIMS page as well as the Orders page.

Fixed
Chain of Custody Pickup Address
We fixed a bug that was previously always showed the Client's primary address on Chain of Custody Forms, even if the pickup address was different. Now, these forms will print the pickup details selected during order creation.
Note: Be aware that this includes printing the name of the pickup address on CoCs, which sometimes may differ from the client's name depending on the name associated with the pickup address.
Currently, for samples where the detected values are equal to the Limit of Quantitation (LOQ), our reports indicate this as "
<LOQ
". We have reviewed this approach and decided to make a significant update for greater clarity and accuracy in our reporting.
Moving forward, only
values strictly less
than LOQ (not equal to LOQ) will appear as "<LOQ". In cases when values strictly equal LOQ, we will report the actual detected value that is equal to the LOQ.
Similarly, values equal to the Limit of Detection (LOD) currently report as "
ND
".
Values less than LOD
will continue to display "ND" on the report, but values equal to will report as "<LOQ" or the value if no LOQ value is present for that analyte.
We understand that this change may require some adjustments in your current workflow. Please feel free to reach out to support@confidentlims.com if you have any questions or need further clarification. If you would still like to report "<LOQ" or "ND" at equal values, please notify our team so that we can reconfigure your LIMS.
