Improved
More Color Options for Assay Statuses
- We've expanded the color options for custom assay statuses. You can make edits to existing Status colors and add new ones Under Settings -> Laboratory -> General. 
Samples List & Results Tables can now be filtered by Assay Status
Updated QC Module
- We've updated the QC Module to match the rest of the Confident design. Additionally, the template tables are now full screen and allow for file uploads, color and formatting options, as well as formula support.

, designed to make it easier for Labs to consistently export data in a structured way!New:
Export Templates
You can now build reusable export templates to pull sets of data in a consistent format repeatedly. Admins can set up new templates for their team under the
Exports
page. Export templates can be accessed from the main module
and
from within the Orders Tables & Pages. Read this help article to get set up! 
Improved
Lab Menu Table now shows Test Package ID
— The menu table now shows each package's ID, making it easier for API labs to identify TPs from the UI.Each Results table now applies bulk updates to its own assay status only
— For example, working in the Cannabinoids tab now changes Cannabinoids statuses only, not the other assays on that sample. This keeps bulk status changes accurate and prevents accidental edits across assays.

Hi Everyone,
Over the next few days,
Confident's automated emails will be getting a new look
. The emails to Labs and Operators will have a cleaner, more modern design. They will still contain all the same important information.This change applies to all transactional emails, such as order updates and account emails like team invites, user management, and password resets.
For Labs
You will still get the same notifications: new orders, edits, cancellations, and team activity. The new design will help you see order details, samples, and tests at a glance.
For Operators
You will still get the same updates from your lab. This includes emails on orders received, results ready, published reports, and account invites & password resets.
No action needed - just keep an eye out in the coming days!

Hope you're having a great week. Some quick updates from Confident this week:
New
- Bulk update samples via CSV— Labs can now update multiple samples at once from the Samples table by uploading a CSV instead of editing one by one! Any field in your intake form, such as Metrc Sample #, Manifest #, etc.., can be updated this way. Download the CSV template to get started.
- New on the API: append samples to existing orders— POST /v0/labs/order/{order_id}/samples is a new lab-only endpoint that lets you add samples to an existing order. Useful for retests!
Improved
- Generate COAs from the Sample Overview Table— Generate reports for one sample or in bulk directly from the Overview table view.
- New 4x2 label size— Added 4x2 as a size option for Lab Labels to help fit a wider range of label printer needs.

Custom Business Days for Due Dates
The "Turnaround time includes weekends" setting has been replaced with a new Business Days picker. Select which days of the week your lab is open, and your sample due dates will calculate accordingly. If you previously selected to include weekends for due dates calculations, we have migrated your preferences. Head to Settings → Laboratory → General to configure these.
Public API: Extra Fields Now Available
Labs using our API now have access to
extra_field_*
, extra_date_field_*
, and extra_bool_field_*
on all /v0/labs

Using the "Other" workaround?
If you've been placing orders for other industries under "Other" Sample Matrix Category and "Other" sample subtype, you can now switch to the correct industry. You'll get proper categorization, cleaner reporting, and industry-specific configurations. Existing orders remain as-is — your changes will apply to new orders going forward.

Import Inventory via CSV
ICYMI, You can now bulk-import equipment and consumables into Inventory using a CSV file! Download the template, configure your upload, and get started with inventory management easily.
New Table Filters & Columns
We've added new ways to find what you need, faster:
- On the List, you can nowfilter by Other product typesunder each category. We also added a newDate Publishedcolumn so you can see when results went live.
- For Assay Overview, you can nowfilter by Due Dateto stay on top of upcoming deadlines.
New Export Columns
Your CSV exports now include more data columns: Unit Weight, Date Published & Total Terpenes.
Analytics Filters
Analytics dashboards now support
Date Published
and Date Received
filters, plus a Paid
filter on Revenue by Client
, so you can slice your data all the ways you need to.API Updates

New
Auto-Apply Assay Statuses on Import
No more manual status updates after importing data! You can now configure your importer to automatically assign an assay status to samples during upload, saving you an extra step and valuable time. Check out this help article to get started!

- Sample Profile Page:Use the new navigation arrows to flip between samples profile pages without going back to the samples list.
- Sample LIMS Page:The "Other Information" section now expands to show the full note. No more clicking into Edit Order just to read it!
- Due Date Filter on Samples List- You asked, we delivered. Filter your Samples List by due date to quickly see what's coming up in the next day, two days, or beyond.
- Sample Matrix on Lab Labels- The Label Editor now includes checkboxes for Sample Category and Sample Type, so you can add matrix information to your labels without manually updating the Custom field for each print.
- Refreshed General Settings- We've reorganized and cleaned up the General Settings page for easier navigation.

- Sales Tax Decimals- You can now enter precise sales tax rates (like 8.1875%) in your Invoice Settings.
- Custom Pricing in QuickBooks- Custom client pricing now correctly syncs to your QuickBooks invoices.
- Edit Order Table Headers- Column widths you set now stay put when editing orders.
- Due Date Timezone- Due dates now respect your lab's local timezone, so your turnaround calculations are accurate regardless of when you verify an order.

- Set custom prices per client, per test packageand they'll automatically appear when that client places an order through the Client Portal or when your lab does intake internally.
- See custom pricing reflected in Confident and QuickBooks invoices(for labs using the integration)
- Eliminate manual order adjustmentsfor when your clients have a price that is different than your default test package menu.
